Welcome to the Red Door (TRD), a catering company based in Oakland, California. Our team comprises a diverse group of highly skilled chefs and innovative event designers. As dedicated food enthusiasts, we derive great joy from presenting an exquisite array of fresh, locally sourced ingredients, skillfully crafted to Reign Free with tantalizing flavors.

Our Heart

TRD has an annual grant budget of $10,000 to help nonprofit clients defray some of their catering costs. Our focus is sometimes, but not exclusively, on organizations that work with hard-to-reach youth and women of color in business.

Our Founder

Raised in a large West Indian family spread across three continents, my love affair with the kitchen began at a very young age, seated beside my mother on a stool. The art of cooking and its presentation were cherished traditions in our family, with each member holding their unique specialties and treasured recipes.

My culinary adventure expanded as I pursued my college education in the heart of another culinary hub, New Orleans, Louisiana. Here, the rich influences of my Caribbean heritage harmoniously mingled with the vibrant French, Pan-Asian, and Low Country flavors of the region. It was in another culturally diverse culinary hub, Oakland, California, that I laid the foundation for The Red Door catering company.

At TRD, diversity is not just a catchphrase; it’s woven into the fabric of our identity, along with a vast selection of spices and an authentic, global touch to comfort food that comes naturally to us. But beyond catering, we have built a lively community of discerning foodies who have stood by us throughout our journey. We are immensely proud and humbled by the unwavering support we receive from our cherished clients.
